Base Salary

$109k - $163k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Implement models and data transformations using Python, PySpark, and Pandas.
  • Expose models as web service APIs using Flask and deploy services to AWS EKS.
  • Optimize Python code to reduce runtime and memory usage.
  • Write automated tests covering unit, integration, regression, performance, and acceptance scenarios.
  • Conduct peer code reviews and support design and implementation challenges.
  • Build robust, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems for business-critical data science and machine learning processes.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and continuously improve system architecture and technical quality.

Requirements

  • At least 2–4 years of experience developing in Python.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computational Finance, or a directly related quantitative field.
  • Experience building production systems for business-critical processes.
  • Experience building and integrating tools, including Gradle, Jenkins, Git, and Docker.
  • Experience with large microservice-based architectures and container orchestration frameworks.
  • Experience with relational databases including MSSQL and MySQL.
  • Solid understanding of software design principles.
  • Strong collaboration and written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to discuss technical topics with data scientists.
  • Ability to learn, apply, and deploy new technologies to solve emerging problems.
