Responsibilities
- Lead technical strategy and implementation for RAN software portability across heterogeneous COTS platforms.
- Establish portability guardrails, architectural alignments, technical standards, and reusable platform assets.
- Conduct hands-on platform onboarding trials, benchmarking, performance profiling, and end-to-end validation.
- Enable COTS platform readiness for multi-workload and shared-infrastructure deployments.
- Advance AI-assisted and agentic automation for benchmarking and validation.
- Mentor distributed engineering teams in cross-platform development and hardware ecosystem adaptation.
- Represent RAN portability in technical forums, architecture reviews, and strategic planning.
- Generate Ericsson intellectual property and collaborate with academic and research institutions on applied RAN portability research.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
- At least 12 years of experience as a systems engineer or research engineer.
- Strong background in communications theory, digital signal processing, and COTS architecture.
- Applied experience with reinforcement learning, federated learning, generative AI, and LLMs.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenStack.
- Experience with platform benchmarking, performance profiling, end-to-end system validation, technical standards, architectural frameworks, and reusable engineering assets.
- Track record of mentoring and leading distributed technical teams across multiple sites.
- Published contributions to industry research, technical forums, or intellectual property portfolios.
- Strong presentation, leadership, analytical, project-delivery, collaboration, and English communication skills.
