Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, maintain, validate, and test software solutions for organizational products and systems.
- Lead software and hardware system integration to ensure consistent performance and reliability.
- Establish requirements, prioritize features, and complete moderately complex software design and development projects.
- Lead and participate in code reviews and address issues throughout the development process.
- Develop and test technical and user documentation, including design specifications, code comments, and user manuals.
- Review and refine software or firmware designs to identify optimization and improvement opportunities.
- Develop recommendations and solutions for complex technical problems across multiple technical domains.
- Create custom tools or scripts to support analysis, debugging, or problem solving when needed.
- Mentor and guide junior exempt and non-exempt team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, and senior internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 5 years of relevant software engineering experience, or 3 years with an advanced degree.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and software development frameworks.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, system-level programming, and adopting GenAI in the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with software testing strategies, debugging tools, and performance optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of AWS services, distributed-system architecture, Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Proficiency with version control systems such as Git and GitHub, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to evaluate and integrate new technologies, solve complex problems, work independently, and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication, collaboration, mentoring, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
