Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain self-service platform capabilities that streamline application delivery, observability, and operational workflows.
- Develop infrastructure and tooling for CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, deployment automation, provisioning, configuration management, secrets management, and runtime orchestration.
- Engineer observability solutions for logging, metrics, and traces and implement reliability practices that improve performance, availability, and scalability.
- Embed secure-by-default practices, DevSecOps principles, security baselines, and compliance standards into platform tooling and delivery pipelines.
- Collaborate with application developers, cloud engineers, data teams, cybersecurity, and product teams across the software development lifecycle.
- Mentor team members, promote continuous learning and shared ownership, and translate complex technical concepts for varied audiences.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, blameless post-mortems, platform escalation, and a 24/7 on-call rotation as needed.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in Information Systems or a related technical field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is preferred.
- Present authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring current or future work authorization sponsorship from the company.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Terraform, GitHub, ARM templates, Azure Monitor, OpenTelemetry, and Datadog.
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Azure identity, networking, and compute services.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools including Terraform, ARM templates, and Ansible.
- Strong background in CI/CD systems, Docker, Kubernetes on Azure, and platform-as-a-service offerings.
- Experience with DevSecOps, cloud security, secure-by-default platform engineering, and integrating security into infrastructure and application delivery pipelines.
- Proficiency in observability practices across cloud-native and hybrid environments.
- Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation as needed.
- Preferred qualifications include relevant cloud, DevOps, or security certifications and experience with SRE-inspired reliability practices, incident response, root cause analysis, and blameless post-mortems.
