Responsibilities
- Present and tailor Cisco’s Service Provider Routing, Optical, Data Center, and Cloud portfolio to customer requirements and business drivers.
- Collaborate with sales teams, partners, and customers to identify requirements, design solutions, and support implementation and operation.
- Provide technical expertise throughout the sales cycle, including solution design, product demonstrations, technical question resolution, and customer test labs or proofs-of-concept.
- Guide customers through technology selection and communicate the business impact of Cisco solutions.
- Monitor industry drivers, customer needs, and competitors including Juniper, Nokia, and Arista to support solution positioning and demand generation.
- Maintain current expertise in Cisco’s Service Provider portfolio, networking skills, and certifications, while contributing to internal knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience working directly within the Service Provider or Telco industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in Service Provider Routing, Optical Networking, and Data Center and Cloud technologies.
- Proven experience in a customer-facing technical role involving solution design and technical guidance.
- Strong understanding of Service Provider business drivers and operational challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Preferred: Cisco certifications such as CCIE or DevNet, or other relevant industry certifications.
- Preferred: pre-sales engineering experience in the telecommunications sector.
- Preferred: familiarity with AI and security solutions in a Service Provider context.
- Preferred: public-speaking experience at industry events and experience collaborating with Cisco Service Provider partners or comparable telecommunications vendors.
- Preferred: Optical Transport experience.
