Sr Lead Software Engineer - AI-Native Component Engineering
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and direction to engineering teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
- Drive adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams.
- Establish validation standards for secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and AI-generated outputs.
- Use software development lifecycle tooling and automation to improve engineering outcomes at scale.
- Influence product design, application functionality, technical operations, and engineering processes.
- Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert and advocate for firmwide engineering frameworks, tools, and practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience leading enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, security, and compliant usage controls.
- Advanced skills in Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and all aspects of the software development life cycle.
- Advanced understanding of application resiliency and security.
- Technical experience in cloud, artificial intelligence, or machine learning, along with practical cloud-native experience.
- Ability to solve design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
- Preferred: experience building SDKs, frameworks, or developer platforms consumed by other engineering teams.
- Preferred: experience with AI-native tooling, AI-assisted development workflows, or production software leveraging AI or building AI capabilities.
