Base Salary
$150k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and own the agent layer, including context engineering, self-learning systems, evaluations, the agent harness, and the meta-harness.
- Build a compounding knowledge base of undocumented systems to improve future integrations.
- Develop self-healing workflows that detect production failures, diagnose root causes, and recover autonomously.
- Define engineering patterns and standards for building, measuring, and improving company agents.
- Help grow the agentic engineering team, with a path toward leading the people who own these systems.
- Work directly with the CTO and founding team to experiment and scale production agentic systems.
Requirements
- 2–9 years of software engineering experience with hands-on agentic software shipped within the last year.
- Deep familiarity with harness-centric agent development, including context engineering and eval-driven iteration.
- Strong understanding of agent tracing and evaluation frameworks.
- Implementation-focused experience shipping working production systems rather than research prototypes.
- Proficiency in TypeScript.
- Experience with Effect-TS, PostgreSQL, and LLM/agent tooling is a strong plus.
- Background from high-caliber engineering organizations such as large technology companies, professional services firms, or developer tooling companies.
