Responsibilities
- Design and implement numerical solutions, mathematical algorithms, and new modeling capabilities for GoldSim.
- Participate in software design and application development across the full development lifecycle in C++.
- Build GoldSim models for QA, verification, product examples, and customer support.
- Document the theoretical basis and practical implementation of numerical methods.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, product, and customer support teams to translate requirements into technical specifications.
- Identify opportunities to modernize algorithmic infrastructure and apply modern computational or machine learning approaches.
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD-level education in science or engineering with outstanding academic performance.
- Broad experience with applied mathematics and numerical methods for science and engineering problems, including matrix algebra and partial differential equations.
- Background in earth sciences or civil engineering, preferably with contaminant transport modeling experience.
- Extensive C++ programming experience, ideally in scientific or engineering applications.
- Ability to design and implement practical numerical solutions to real-world problems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Windows desktop applications, numerical libraries, MATLAB, R, Tableau, or AI/ML techniques is a plus.
