Responsibilities
- Evolve the MLOps platform to improve operational robustness, performance, scalability, reliability, and observability.
- Own end-to-end delivery of software products including workflow orchestration, APIs, services, and front-end UIs.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to align AI solutions with business needs, high-quality data, and strategic goals.
- Integrate AI-driven solutions with existing insurance operations systems and coordinate deployment strategies with IT and operations teams.
- Apply advancements in AI and machine learning to improve deployed solutions and contribute to team knowledge.
- Use CI/CD tools and agile methods to deliver features and updates reliably.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to squad members and influence the technical roadmap.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent education and experience.
- At least six years of significant development experience.
- Strong Python skills.
- Proficiency with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS, containers, Terraform, CI/CD, and observability.
- Experience with backend and UI automated testing and observability practices.
- Understanding of GenAI concepts including prompting, agentic frameworks, evaluations, guardrails, RAG, embeddings and vector databases, model fine-tuning, graph databases with LLMs, MCP, and reasoning models.
- Strong data engineering skills and knowledge of MLOps best practices.
- Experience with Angular or React is considered an asset.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks technologies such as Unity Catalog and Delta Lake is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in AI-assisted coding.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and business-to-technical translation skills.
- For candidates in Quebec, bilingual French-English communication is required.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada; Canadian work experience is not required.
