Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and test firmware in C or C++ for motor controllers, battery management systems, and sensing hardware.
- Develop Python tools for test automation and hardware calibration.
- Contribute to CI/CD infrastructure development.
- Support hardware/software integration in the lab.
- Assist with board bring-up, firmware feature development and validation, integration, and testing.
Requirements
- Be an undergraduate senior or recent graduate in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Commit to a minimum 10-week internship, with one to two terms preferred.
- Be fluent in C, C++, and Python.
- Have experience implementing low-level software on bare-metal systems and RTOS.
- Have good knowledge of computer architecture.
- Have a deep understanding of communication buses and protocols including Ethernet, EtherCAT, Serial, CAN, or USB.
- Be comfortable using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and in-circuit debugging tools.
Benefits
- Fall 2026 internship with a minimum duration of 10 weeks; one to two terms are preferred.
- Hourly base salary of $40-$45 is stated in the posting.
