Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own security integrations and detections across multiple libraries.
- Take projects from prototype to deployed, ensuring operability and maintainability.
- Monitor production telemetry and debug cross-system issues.
- Define OKRs for systems and drive designs and RFCs for alignment.
- Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to enhance product capabilities.
- Mentor teammates and improve overall team effectiveness.
- Represent Datadog in relevant language and security communities.
Requirements
- Expert in at least one of .NET (C#) or Java, with polyglot capabilities.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with a focus on modular, maintainable code.
- Product engineering mindset, prioritizing user experience and product outcomes.
- Experience building and shipping libraries or SDKs for other developers.
- Accountable for production quality and operational maturity.
- Clear communication skills for collaboration and feedback.
- BS/MS/PhD in a STEM field or equivalent experience.
