Responsibilities
- Translate ambiguous enterprise business problems into agentic workflows with clear success criteria and evaluation methodologies.
- Design, build, deploy, and deliver reliable LLM-powered agents that reason, plan, and act across tools, APIs, and sensitive enterprise data.
- Build and ship features for Cohere’s North AI workspace platform across the full product lifecycle.
- Own use-case scoping and delivery end to end, including frontend work when needed.
- Contribute shared frameworks and patterns for consistent delivery across customers and teams.
- Drive alignment, clarify ambiguous situations, and raise engineering quality across the organization.
- Travel 20–40% to work onsite with customers and partners.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience building and deploying production-grade software in Python with clean, testable, observable, and scalable code.
- Experience building and deploying performant RAG and agentic applications, including multi-step planning and execution patterns such as ReAct or Plan-and-Execute.
- Deep familiarity with the LLM stack, frontier models, vector databases, and orchestration frameworks.
- Experience building robust evaluation frameworks to measure agent accuracy, safety, and latency.
- Ability to lead technical discussions with enterprise stakeholders and translate ambiguous business needs into concrete technical specifications.
- Experience owning the full scope of a technical use case end to end.
- Experience setting architectural standards for AI and agentic systems across distributed teams is a bonus.
- Experience working in unfamiliar technical areas such as frontend development is a bonus.
- Exposure to regulated or sensitive industries such as finance, healthcare, or telecommunications is a bonus.
- Experience with enterprise security, compliance, or auditability requirements for AI systems is a bonus.
- Active DV clearance is highly preferred.
