Responsibilities

  • Design and develop algorithms to maximize video compression efficiency.
  • Optimize codec performance through low-level and system-level enhancements.
  • Advance video coding technologies to improve visual quality.
  • Research and develop AI-powered codecs and end-to-end image/video compression systems.

Requirements

  • Requires an MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of video coding standards such as HEVC/H.265, AV1, and H.266/VVC, and reference software such as ECM, x265, or VVEnc, or experience with AI-based codec systems.
  • Requires strong programming, debugging, and optimization skills in C/C++ or other general-purpose programming languages.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with live streaming, video conferencing, offline transcoding, software codec development, international standardization, SIMD/NEON optimization, and multithreaded programming.
  • Preferred candidates understand business needs and can align technical solutions with product and market goals.
