Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, mentorship, and engineering standards to multiply team impact.
- Design and build architectures that balance simplicity, quality, scale, security, and operability.
- Create reusable patterns, guardrails, and tooling that accelerate engineering delivery.
- Develop reliable, secure, observable, scalable software using disciplined rollout and rollback practices.
- Apply AI-enabled tools across design, coding, testing, review, and documentation while maintaining human accountability.
- Improve cross-functional execution by simplifying systems, workflows, and handoffs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience; an advanced degree is a plus.
- 12+ years of professional software development experience with demonstrated depth in full-stack engineering and system or application architecture.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and RESTful and streaming-based API design.
- Hands-on experience delivering cloud-native solutions using microservices, containerization, and modern deployment patterns.
- Working knowledge of NoSQL and distributed data stores and their appropriate use at scale.
- Experience with AI-enabled capabilities, including GenAI or ML-driven services, and a pragmatic understanding of responsible use, scalability, and enterprise integration.
- Experience in securities, financial services, or engineering-first organizations is preferred.
