Responsibilities
- Define high- and low-level designs for software solutions in a large distributed AWS environment.
- Lead engineering and operational best practices using data to drive improvements.
- Help determine architecture and technology choices for FinTech accounting products.
- Design, develop, and deploy medium- to large-scale software solutions for Amazon accounting needs.
- Improve code quality, including security, readability, consistency, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with product managers, data engineers, accountants, Principal Engineers, and Senior Principal Engineers.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
