Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate production AI agents and automation for recurring program reporting using Claude, Claude Code, and enterprise systems.
- Own the AI and automation roadmap, prioritizing initiatives by effort saved and risk reduced.
- Guide Technology Assurance, Risk and Policy teams on suitable AI and agentic AI applications and establish safe adoption practices.
- Define verification, reconciliation, escalation, and source-data checks to ensure AI output is accurate and defensible.
- Set standards for agent scope, prompt and context engineering, repeatability testing, documentation, sensitive-data handling, and AI governance.
- Build resilient, supportable automation with error handling, credential management, logging, alerting, scheduling, version control, and documentation.
- Evaluate AI tools and models, advise senior stakeholders on technical trade-offs, and represent the program in governance forums.
- Develop AI engineering capability through reusable components, documented patterns, and practical working sessions.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in software, automation, or data engineering, including significant senior individual-contributor experience owning production systems.
- Production experience building solutions with Claude, Claude Code, and the Claude Agent SDK, including end-to-end agentic workflows.
- Practical prompt and context engineering experience, including testing model output for reliability and repeatability.
- Strong Python skills and experience automating document and data workflows with python-pptx, python-docx, openpyxl, pandas, or equivalent libraries.
- Experience with Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Graph, and a major enterprise workflow automation platform such as Power Automate.
- Experience building unattended, reliable systems with error handling, credential management, logging, alerting, and scheduling.
- Experience automating recurring operational or reporting processes end to end and working with large datasets from multiple systems, including reconciliation and data-quality assessment.
- Experience setting technical standards through reviews, shared components, or documented patterns.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong English communication skills, stakeholder-management ability, analytical skills, organizational skills, and experience working with globally distributed teams.
- Preferred qualifications include governed-enterprise AI implementation, model or agent-framework evaluation, security technology-risk or audit reporting, vulnerability-management familiarity, coaching non-engineers, and relevant cloud, data, or security engineering certification.
