Responsibilities
- Design, build, operate, and support production AI agents and automation for recurring program reporting using Claude, Claude Code, enterprise systems, Python, Power Automate, and the Microsoft platform.
- Own the AI and automation roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on effort saved and risk reduced.
- Guide Technology Assurance, Risk and Policy teams on where and how to apply AI and agentic AI.
- Define verification, reconciliation, testing, escalation, documentation, sensitive-data handling, and technical standards for AI systems.
- Build resilient unattended systems with error handling, credential management, logging, alerting, scheduling, version control, and documentation.
- Evaluate AI tools, models, and agent frameworks and recommend suitable adoption within a governed enterprise environment.
- Advise senior leadership and governance forums on AI suitability, technical trade-offs, cost, risk, and effort.
- Develop AI engineering capability through reusable components, documented patterns, and practical working sessions.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in software, automation, or data engineering, including significant senior individual-contributor experience owning production systems.
- Production experience building solutions with Claude, Claude Code, and the Claude Agent SDK.
- Experience designing end-to-end agentic workflows and applying prompt and context engineering with repeatability testing.
- Strong Python skills, including document and data workflow automation with libraries such as python-pptx, python-docx, openpyxl, and pandas.
- Experience with Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse, Copilot Studio, and Microsoft Graph.
- Production experience with Power Automate or another major enterprise workflow automation platform, including error handling and unattended runs.
- Experience automating recurring operational or reporting processes end to end and operating reliable unattended systems.
- Experience working with large datasets from multiple systems, reconciling data, and assessing the validity of conclusions.
- Experience setting technical standards through reviews, shared components, or documented patterns.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong English communication skills and ability to work with globally distributed teams.
- Preferred qualifications include enterprise AI integrations, governed AI adoption, model or agent framework evaluation, security or technology risk reporting, vulnerability management familiarity, coaching experience, and relevant cloud, data, or security engineering certification.
