Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of software or infrastructure development services for large or complex projects.
- Own the design, development, delivery, maintenance, compliance, and standards alignment of solutions or infrastructure.
- Perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting for complex and escalated project issues.
- Provide advanced technical expertise and implement continuous improvement plans.
- Collaborate with Development & Engineering and Architecture teams to deliver leading solutions.
- Lead the work group by establishing appropriate expectations, principles, structures, tools, and responsibilities.
- Define, maintain, and implement technology standards and technical design processes.
- Fine-tune language models for tasks such as text generation, summarization, and question answering.
- Apply embedding models to similarity matching, clustering, and information retrieval NLP tasks.
- Design agentic systems combining AI models with external tools or environments for autonomous decision-making.
- Create evaluation frameworks for AI models and agents, including metrics, A/B testing, and performance benchmarking.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in designing, developing, and debugging solutions.
- Advanced knowledge of C#, Java, or Python.
- More than 10 years of applied experience.
- Significant experience in an internal or external software or platform engineering role, or a similar role.
- Experience delivering software or platform engineering solutions, providing technical advice, and handling user requirements.
- Experience with code management, configuration management, and automation tools such as GitHub and ADO.
- Proficiency in language-model fine-tuning, embedding models, agentic systems, and AI evaluation frameworks.
- Significant proven experience building applications with Kubernetes and Docker.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, IT, mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
- Microsoft, Google, or AWS certifications are advantageous.
- Ability to work independently with curiosity, creativity, ambition, and passion.
