Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of solution or infrastructure development services for large or complex projects.
- Own the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of software or infrastructure solutions.
- Perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting for complex and escalated project work.
- Provide advanced technical expertise to improve solution efficiency, reliability, and value.
- Collaborate with Development & Engineering and Architecture teams to deliver technical solutions.
- Provide leadership for the work group and establish appropriate delivery expectations, structures, tools, and responsibilities.
- Drive consistency in processes, procedures, standards, technical design, and technology standards.
- Design and implement AI capabilities including language-model fine-tuning, agentic systems, and evaluation frameworks.
Requirements
- Advanced technical proficiency in solution design, development, and debugging.
- Advanced knowledge of one or more of C#, Java, or Python.
- More than 10 years of applied experience.
- Significant experience in an internal or external software or platform engineering role or a similar position.
- Experience delivering software or platform engineering solutions and providing comprehensive technical advice.
- Experience with CI/CD delivery, code management, configuration management, and automation tools such as GitHub and ADO.
- Proficiency in fine-tuning language models for tasks such as text generation, summarization, or question answering.
- Knowledge of embedding models and their use in similarity matching, clustering, and information retrieval.
- Familiarity with designing and implementing agentic systems that combine AI models with external tools or environments.
- Ability to design AI model and agent evaluation frameworks using metrics, A/B testing, and performance benchmarking.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, IT, mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
- Microsoft, Google, or AWS certifications are advantageous.
- Experience delivering software using modern methodologies.
- Significant proven experience building applications with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Self-starter with independent thinking, curiosity, creativity, ambition, and passion.
