Base Salary

$107k - $148k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and improve detection and response workflows for the Wirespeed Verdict Engine.
  • Own complex threat detection and workflow problem areas from concept through implementation.
  • Translate investigative thinking into scalable detections and automated decisions.
  • Analyze operational data to identify and address false positives and latency issues.
  • Continuously enhance system autonomy to reduce manual review and improve service quality.
  • Support complex cases and integrate lessons learned back into the system.
  • Ensure customer experience is prioritized in Wirespeed outputs.
  • Identify customer pain points to improve verdict logic and product behavior.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and security teams to enhance platform capabilities.
  • Define best practices and document detection concepts and workflow logic.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced teammates.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in cybersecurity operations such as threat detection and response.
  • Ability to identify repeatable patterns and scale good judgment through automation.
  • Strong investigative and analytical skills for practical detection logic improvements.
  • Experience with building and maintaining automations and detection tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex technical problem areas.
  • Interest in improving workflows rather than just executing tasks.
  • Strong communication skills for documenting logic and explaining threats.
  • Comfort using data to evaluate detection quality and workflow performance.
  • Preference for simple, scalable solutions and reducing unnecessary complexity.
