Base Salary

$400k - $700k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Define the infrastructure roadmap and own key decisions involving performance, observability, security, and deployment.
  • Scale and evolve Kubernetes/EKS, CockroachDB, Kafka/MSK, Temporal, and ElastiCache Redis infrastructure.
  • Build and maintain Terraform and Pulumi abstractions to simplify architecture and increase product-team ownership.
  • Introduce and scale cloud-native infrastructure including load balancing, web application firewalls, DNS, search, object storage, and hosting services.
  • Improve the speed and reliability of the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Solve scaling, performance, and low-latency challenges across a monolithic deployment serving burst financial traffic.

Requirements

  • At least 2–3+ years of experience shipping high-quality infrastructure for critical, high-availability systems.
  • Production experience with AWS, including EKS, ALB, MSK, ElastiCache, S3, WAF, and VPC networking.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript or another object-oriented language.
  • Deep experience in at least one of large-scale distributed SQL database administration, real-time workflow and queue systems, or container orchestration and service infrastructure.
  • Ability to understand internal engineering requirements and develop high-impact solutions that unblock teams.
