Responsibilities
- Own the team’s deliverables and work with the Scrum Master to define the best path forward.
- Contribute across the software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Design, develop, and maintain critical and scalable software systems.
- Collaborate with product teams, frontend engineers, and QA to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior developers and support team capability growth.
- Lead the team through technical and delivery challenges and help ensure solutions meet customer needs.
Requirements
- Experience as a software developer focused on backend Java development with Spring Boot and Maven or frontend development with React and npm.
- Proven experience designing, developing, and deploying scalable backend systems.
- Familiarity with Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, containerisation, deployment technologies, and cloud platforms.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, ideally gained in an agile environment.
- British Nationality and the ability to currently hold the highest level of UK Government security clearance.
