Base Salary
$175k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end product development in collaboration with the Head of Product and designer while maintaining high-performance backend infrastructure.
- Architect and optimize full-stack components that process and render complex, interactive data streams.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable APIs and data flow architectures.
- Partner with design, research, and leadership to turn complex technical capabilities into functional, intuitive, feature-rich user interactions.
- Manage and scale backend systems and cloud infrastructure for reliability and observability.
- Architect and maintain infrastructure supporting core platform integrations and public-facing web systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- At least five years of hands-on relevant industry experience building production applications at scale.
- Proficiency with TypeScript, React, or similar modern web technologies, plus strong Python proficiency for backend logic and data pipelines.
- Deep experience designing distributed systems, RESTful or GraphQL APIs, and integrating frontend components with backend services.
- Experience collaborating with design, product, research, and infrastructure teams to ship user-facing products from concept to launch.
- Proven ability to write clean, performant code for scalable backend architectures.
- Experience with coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build and deployment processes, testing, experimentation, and iterative development.
- Self-motivation, a strong work ethic, and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Preferred experience building high-throughput messaging pipelines, real-time data systems, and complex web applications.
- Preferred product sense and experience as a founder or early engineer building a product from ideation through launch.
