Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, development, integration, implementation, and technical delivery for critical software and enterprise application projects.
- Approve technical solutions and deliverables, resolve complex technical problems, and anticipate issues for preventive action.
- Apply deep server-side development expertise to improve performance, secure architecture, database efficiency, data flow, scalability, and resilience.
- Oversee testing for functionality, performance, and security, including participation in design, code, and test lifecycle reviews.
- Serve as a technical liaison and advisor to stakeholders, communicating technical implications, risks, and solution strategies.
- Review, author, and approve technical documentation and architecture diagrams.
- Mentor team members, establish technical standards, and drive adoption of evolving methodologies and technologies.
- Ensure compliance with IT and information security policies and support cross-functional initiatives and special projects.
- Troubleshoot system performance issues, conduct root cause analysis, and optimize services, APIs, and dashboards.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in software development, architecture, and system integration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Computer Applications, or a Master’s degree in Computer Applications.
- Expert programming skills in Java, Spring Boot, and Python, with additional experience in Angular and Node.js.
- Expert understanding of AWS services, including DynamoDB, S3, ECS, Route 53, Athena, Lambda, Step Functions, SNS/SQS, CloudFormation, IAM, API security, and Bedrock.
- Expertise in software architecture, event-driven architecture, system design, enterprise applications, and technical leadership.
- Experience with GitHub, Bitbucket, CI/CD, OAuth, Okta, JWTs, observability, Splunk, Honeycomb, OpenTelemetry, and CloudWatch.
- Test automation experience with Cucumber and familiarity with TDD and BDD.
- Ability to use and mentor others on AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.
- Experience mentoring teams, establishing technical standards, driving process improvement, and managing technical stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with Confluence, JIRA, monitoring, and dashboard refinement.
- Desired certifications include AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect, and AWS Solution Consultant.
