Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of payment platform features across geographies and device platforms.
- Own architectural direction, technology choices, engineering practices, and future system design.
- Collaborate with product managers, partner engineering teams, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver integrated solutions.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and hands-on guidance.
- Use metrics and operational data to improve features and maintain high availability and reliability.
- Develop service components capable of processing thousands of transactions per second and remaining resilient to unavailable downstream dependencies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
