Responsibilities

Contribute to the full SDLC for new and existing projects, from conception and design through implementation, testing, release, maintenance, and support.
Design, develop, and deliver Java-based APIs, microservices, streaming applications, and data pipelines.
Facilitate alignment across technology teams on goals, priorities, deadlines, outcomes, and deliverables.
Mentor and collaborate with distributed engineers while establishing coding standards and best practices.
Write readable, testable, and maintainable code and participate in code reviews and defect resolution.
Drive innovation, build systems from scratch, and address distributed-systems, scalability, availability, and fault-tolerance challenges.

12+ years of experience with Java development.
Hands-on experience with Java APIs using GraphQL, OpenAPI, or gRPC, and microservices using Spring Boot and AWS services including ECR, EKS, EC2, and Beanstalk.
Experience designing and developing complex, scalable, high-performance applications with Kafka and other streaming technologies.
Experience with SQL, stored procedures, functions, and data warehousing solutions.
Strong understanding of distributed, highly available, fault-tolerant systems and software architecture principles.
Experience developing TDD/BDD unit tests and partnering with Quality Assurance teams on defect triage and resolution.
Experience with Agile ceremonies, virtual teams, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployments.
Experience mentoring engineers, resolving technical challenges, and performing code reviews in a peer-programming environment.
Strong communication, problem-solving, design, multitasking, and learning skills.
Preferred exposure to Angular, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, financial services or investment banking, Salesforce or similar CRM ecosystems, Tableau CRM, Cognos, Power BI, MuleSoft, StreamSets, and Databricks.
