Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-native application components and services.
  • Build and enhance Java microservices and translate business and product requirements into technical solutions.
  • Develop and operate applications on Google Cloud Platform using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, build automation, deployment processes, and automated testing.
  • Improve application scalability, performance, reliability, security, monitoring, logging, and alerting.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and reduce technical debt through refactoring.
  • Collaborate with product managers, quality engineers, platform teams, and other engineers.
  • Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • 3–4 years of professional experience building enterprise-grade software applications.
  • Strong hands-on experience developing applications using Java.
  • Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, distributed systems, SQL and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and query optimization.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform or another major public cloud.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized workloads.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, and automated testing.
  • Proven experience operating mission-critical, high-availability systems in cloud or hybrid environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, ownership, and adaptability skills.
