Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-native application components and services.
- Build and enhance Java microservices and translate business and product requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop and operate applications on Google Cloud Platform using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, build automation, deployment processes, and automated testing.
- Improve application scalability, performance, reliability, security, monitoring, logging, and alerting.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and reduce technical debt through refactoring.
- Collaborate with product managers, quality engineers, platform teams, and other engineers.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 3–4 years of professional experience building enterprise-grade software applications.
- Strong hands-on experience developing applications using Java.
- Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, distributed systems, SQL and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and query optimization.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform or another major public cloud.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized workloads.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, and automated testing.
- Proven experience operating mission-critical, high-availability systems in cloud or hybrid environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, ownership, and adaptability skills.
