Responsibilities
- Lead the development and evolution of a scalable, reliable AI platform with reusable APIs and support for diverse AI models.
- Architect and implement tools and frameworks for ML experimentation, model deployment, and production AI capabilities.
- Manage GPU and CPU compute resources for model performance, cost efficiency, capacity planning, and utilization.
- Design and operate data movement strategies and pipelines supporting model training, evaluation, inference, and feedback loops.
- Lead LLM and agentic AI engineering, including RAG, tool and MCP integration, agent orchestration, structured outputs, context engineering, guardrails, evaluation, and observability.
- Establish MLOps and LLMOps standards for experimentation, deployment, versioning, monitoring, drift and quality evaluation, incident response, and rollback.
- Drive security, governance, responsible AI, data integrity, access controls, compliance, and model risk management.
- Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, mentoring, cross-functional influence, roadmap development, documentation, testing, and validation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement where applicable.
- Six years of experience executing and deploying data science, machine learning, and deep learning; ML platform engineering; MLOps tools; and ML frameworks.
- Six years of programming experience in Java and/or Python.
- Four years of experience working with cross-functional partners.
- Preferred: master’s degree in a relevant STEM, statistics, economics, data science, information science, or quantitative analytics field.
- Preferred: five years of experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, the Hadoop ecosystem, Druid, Trino, BigQuery, and Google Vertex AI.
- Preferred: six years of Python programming experience and at least three years of AI technology experience outside educational training.
