Base Salary
$87k - $157k/yr
Responsibilities
- Participate in test planning, strategy, design, execution, software engineering processes, and product-quality recommendations.
- Review, edit, and create engineering and testing documentation according to industry standards.
- Develop automated scripts and software test infrastructure for applications in Linux and Windows.
- Perform manual, automated, integration, and formal software qualification testing.
- Support the fielding, maintenance, and ongoing support of software products.
- Work as part of an agile software team on tasking and progress reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mathematics, or an equivalent technical degree.
- At least 4 years of relevant technical experience, or a relevant master’s degree with at least 2 years of experience.
- Recent experience developing software or writing software test scripts in C++, Python, or Java.
- Experience with manual and automated test tools and techniques, test methods, and procedures for software products.
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, software test, configuration management, and software quality engineering concepts.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
- Resident of or willingness to relocate to the Huntsville–North Alabama area.
- Preferred qualifications include automated UI testing, embedded systems, database architecture, MIL-STD-882E, DISA STIGs, Agentic AI coding tools, and Ubuntu 22.04 experience.
