Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, test, deploy, maintain, and support middleware applications using object-oriented techniques, industry standards, design patterns, Java, IBM ESQL, and IBM integration tools.
- Perform performance analysis, software requirements and technical specification review, design, documentation, and validation for middleware applications.
- Manage communication of tasks and project status with development teams, supervisors, executive management, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain databases and information systems in middleware environments by defining data structures and reviewing data sets, queries, and database objects.
- Identify technical tasks, delivery timelines, and project risks with the project team.
- Provide technical expertise and end-user support for middleware applications and document trouble tickets in the agency IT service management system.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, human-computer interaction, interactive media, digital and graphics design, data visualization, communication, or a related field plus four years of related full-time experience and relevant specialization; or an associate degree in a related field plus six years of related experience and relevant specialization; or a bachelor's degree in any field plus eight years of related experience and relevant specialization.
- Education and/or experience equivalent to one of the stated qualification pathways is acceptable.
- Experience with Java, IBM ESQL, IBM Integration Toolkit, IBM MQ Explorer, Oracle SQL Developer, Atlassian Jira, and Atlassian Confluence is relevant to the role.
