Base Salary
$194k - $291k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement efficient video streaming pipelines using state-of-the-art techniques for high-priority real-time data.
- Build offline streaming simulation and emulation frameworks to iterate on streaming algorithms and predict online performance.
- Test streaming systems in real-world environments, gather feedback, and drive improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect on-road network metrics.
- Build core communication systems and cloud platform capabilities connecting autonomous vehicles and remote operators.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field plus 4+ years of relevant industry experience, or a PhD plus 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Proficiency in C, C++, and/or Go.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP, socket programming, congestion control, and related networking concepts.
- Strong communication skills.
- Video streaming framework experience such as WebRTC is preferred.
- Understanding of video codecs such as VP8, VP9, H.264, and H.265 is preferred.
