Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated regression tests for SPS, ARTEMiS, RT-Events, and related simulation platforms.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and quality assurance infrastructure using Jenkins, GitLab, and GitHub.
- Validate software releases through offline and real-time simulation testing.
- Develop Python and MATLAB automation tools and scripts to improve test efficiency and coverage.
- Analyze test results, investigate failures, identify root causes, and collaborate with software development teams on resolutions.
- Measure and validate simulation accuracy, numerical performance, and real-time execution characteristics.
- Maintain testing procedures, validation reports, and technical documentation.
- Improve quality processes, automation frameworks, and engineering workflows.
- Support software release qualification and delivery of reliable simulation products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, software engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in software testing, quality assurance, or model and simulation software development.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and scripting languages such as Python for test automation and data analysis.
- Knowledge of source control and DevOps tools including Git, GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or equivalent CI/CD platforms.
- Experience developing test automation frameworks, regression testing pipelines, or software validation tools.
- Ability to analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, identify root causes, and collaborate with software development teams.
- Knowledge of power-system simulation, real-time simulation, numerical methods, or engineering software verification and validation is an asset.
- Knowledge of SPS, ARTEMiS, PSCAD, EMTP, RT-LAB, HYPERSIM, or comparable engineering simulation tools is an asset.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, rigorous quality focus, communication, teamwork, and documentation abilities.
- French is required, and good English is required for specialized scientific materials and software.
