Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Develop and execute automated tests for UI, API, backend, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end scenarios.
- Perform API, backend, database, microservices, performance, and load testing, including SQL validation, log analysis, and data verification.
- Integrate automated tests into GitHub Actions pipelines with quality gates, reporting, and continuous feedback.
- Manage test environments and test data, perform defect and root cause analysis, and support production issue investigations.
- Participate in requirements analysis, test strategy, risk assessment, test planning, release validation, and quality metrics activities.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude to improve test design, automation development, defect analysis, and framework maintenance.
- Mentor junior Quality Engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 3–4 years of experience in Quality Engineering with strong test automation expertise.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript and experience building scalable automation frameworks.
- Experience with REST API automation, Postman, backend testing, SQL, databases, log validation, and microservices.
- Hands-on performance testing experience with JMeter or BlazeMeter.
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and collaborating through git-based workflows.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, functional, integration, regression, system, end-to-end, risk-based, and quality engineering practices.
- Experience with test strategy, test planning, defect management, root cause analysis, test data and environment management, and release quality validation.
- Experience using AI-assisted testing tools, preferably Claude Code.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, distributed architectures, contract testing or service virtualization, accessibility, security testing, and monitoring or observability tools.
- ISTQB, Playwright, AWS Fundamentals, or Performance Testing certifications and experience with enterprise SaaS or publishing/content management platforms are advantageous.
- Strong analytical, debugging, communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
- Must have the right to work and live in India and be within commuting distance of the Bengaluru office.
