Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and test suites across UI, API, and integration layers.
- Develop and execute automated test cases and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Define and implement test strategies for microservices-based and distributed systems.
- Perform API-first testing, including REST endpoint and schema/contract validation.
- Identify, debug, and track defects in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Use logs, metrics, and traces to validate system behavior and improve production quality.
- Ensure adequate test coverage and release quality standards.
- Improve automation frameworks, testing tools, and quality processes.
- Participate in design and code reviews to improve testability and quality.
- Support test data setup, environment configuration, and test execution in cloud environments.
- Contribute to quality practices for AI/ML-driven and data-intensive systems, including validation of accuracy, consistency, and non-deterministic behavior.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience in test automation or quality engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong programming experience in Python, Java, or JavaScript, with Python preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, Pytest, Robot Framework, or similar automation frameworks.
- Strong API testing experience with REST APIs and tools such as Postman/Newman, REST Assured, or Python requests.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes-based environments and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience testing cloud-based applications, preferably on AWS.
- Familiarity with OpenAPI, Pact, or other contract testing and schema validation tools.
- Exposure to Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenSearch.
- Experience with test data management and validation frameworks such as Great Expectations is preferred.
- Knowledge of Kafka and event-driven architectures is preferred.
- Exposure to security testing fundamentals such as OWASP is preferred.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, or canary validation practices is preferred.
- Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies, plus strong debugging, problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and ownership skills.
