Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and test suites across UI, API, and integration layers.
- Create and execute automated tests and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Define and implement testing strategies for microservices-based and distributed systems.
- Perform API-first testing, including REST endpoint and schema or contract validation.
- Identify, debug, and track defects in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Use logs, metrics, and traces to validate system behavior and improve production quality.
- Maintain test coverage and release-quality standards while improving automation tools and processes.
- Participate in design and code reviews to improve testability and quality.
- Support test data setup, environment configuration, and test execution in cloud environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in test automation or quality engineering.
- Strong programming experience in Python, Java, or JavaScript, with Python preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, Pytest, Robot Framework, or similar automation frameworks.
- Strong API testing experience using tools such as Postman/Newman, REST Assured, or Python requests.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, containers, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes-based environments and cloud-based applications, preferably on AWS.
- Familiarity with OpenAPI, Pact, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenSearch.
- Familiarity with AI-driven test automation tools and experience contributing to automation frameworks and test strategies.
- Preferred experience testing AI/ML-driven or data-intensive systems, including non-deterministic LLM-based features.
- Preferred experience with test data management, Great Expectations, Kafka, messaging systems, OWASP fundamentals, monitoring, logging, or canary validation.
- Strong collaboration, communication, debugging, problem-solving, independence, attention to detail, and ownership.
