Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy software components supporting Cohesity’s enterprise data security and management platform.
- Contribute production-quality code and participate in code reviews, design discussions, sprint planning, and technical brainstorming.
- Work on distributed systems, cloud-native services, storage technologies, cybersecurity solutions, platform infrastructure, tooling, automation, or product features.
- Analyze system performance and improve scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, architects, technical leaders, and mentors to solve technical challenges.
- Present the final internship project and accomplishments to engineering leaders and executives.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and systems design.
- Software development experience through coursework, research, internships, open-source contributions, or personal projects.
- Proficiency in one or more of C++, Go, Java, or Python.
- Familiarity with software development tools, version control systems, and Linux/Unix environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Preferred exposure to distributed systems, networking, systems programming, operating systems, concurrency, cloud computing, containerized environments, data security, cryptography, ransomware protection, secure coding, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or data science.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Research projects, hackathons, open-source contributions, technical clubs, or previous internships are additional preferred qualifications.
