Base Salary

$135k - $180k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical strategy for complex enterprise opportunities in partnership with assigned SEs.
  • Run technical discovery and architecture workshops with data, security, AI, and executive stakeholders.
  • Design and build prototypes for AI-driven workflows using Sigma Assistant, Sigma agents, warehouse agents, and MCP integrations.
  • Present Sigma’s architecture and AI runtime capabilities to audiences ranging from analysts to CTOs and CDOs.
  • Own the technical narrative for RFPs, RFIs, AI risk reviews, and security questionnaires.
  • Advise customers on integration, migration, governance, and AI patterns across Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, and Redshift.
  • Position Sigma against Databricks AI/BI and Genie, Snowflake Cortex Analyst, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and AI-native competitors.
  • Create reusable architecture patterns, AI workflow playbooks, competitive analyses, and reference implementations.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering on customer-driven product improvements, especially across Sigma’s AI capabilities.
  • Mentor SEs and contribute to the team wiki, playbooks, and onboarding materials.
  • Manage multiple enterprise engagements and maintain required product, sales, and technology certifications.
  • Meet quarterly and annual targets set by the manager.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, or data platform roles, including at least 3 years in a customer-facing technical role such as Solution Engineer, Solution Architect, or consultant.
  • Deep expertise in at least one cloud data warehouse: Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift.
  • Strong SQL skills and knowledge of warehousing, data modeling, governance, security, and modern data architecture.
  • ETL and transformation experience with dbt, Fivetran, Matillion, or comparable tools.
  • Fluency with AI tools, agents, MCP, A2A, context engineering, retrieval, evaluations, and major model providers.
  • Track record leading complex enterprise sales cycles or large BI implementations and partnering with account executives and SEs to close business.
  • Ability to communicate with executive and technical stakeholders and lead architecture reviews and boardroom briefings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Ability to operate independently in a high-velocity environment and contribute to team playbooks, customer feedback, and SE development.
