Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and deliver scalable, secure, high-performing cloud architectures.
- Design, deploy, and optimize AWS and hybrid-cloud solutions supporting mission and security objectives.
- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Implement cloud governance frameworks and maintain compliance with security and regulatory standards.
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and operations workflows to reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
- Evaluate cloud technologies and recommend performance and cost-efficiency improvements.
- Integrate CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and performance tuning across development and operations teams.
- Provide cloud expertise, mentorship, and collaboration across engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of relevant experience for mid-level candidates or 7–9 years for senior-level candidates.
- US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
- Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining advanced cloud solutions, particularly in AWS environments across multiple classification domains.
- Proficiency with AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and EBS.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Experience managing and securing Linux and Windows Server systems in production.
- Hands-on Python and Bash scripting experience for cloud automation.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and advanced security controls.
- Experience supporting operational environments, ticket queues, and knowledge bases.
- Active CompTIA Security+ or equivalent 8140/8570 certification valid for at least one year.
- Relevant AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect Associate or Professional or SysOps Administrator are preferred.
- Experience with Agile environments, Jira, Confluence, CI/CD frameworks, version control systems, Git, Jenkins, hybrid-cloud or multi-cloud environments, automation, monitoring, and performance tuning is desired.
