Responsibilities
- Own security tooling service performance, resilience, stability, SLAs, supportability, and operational maturity across regions.
- Configure, administer, upgrade, troubleshoot, and optimize Cribl and Microsoft Sentinel platforms in enterprise environments.
- Engineer Cribl telemetry routing, parsing, transformation, enrichment, filtering, masking, tuning, and downstream data pipelines.
- Manage Microsoft Sentinel connectors, telemetry onboarding, KQL queries, analytics, dashboards or workbooks, automation, retention, RBAC, and platform health.
- Build and maintain integrations across SIEM, endpoint, identity, cloud, network, storage, and ITSM technologies.
- Lead monitoring, detection, analytics, incident, problem, change, release, governance, risk, compliance, migration, and modernization initiatives.
- Communicate performance and risk to senior stakeholders, manage suppliers and partners, mentor engineers and analysts, and drive continuous improvement.
- Apply and evaluate AI and machine learning for security automation, anomaly detection, enrichment, investigation support, and workflow optimization.
Requirements
- Typically 7+ years of experience with cybersecurity technologies and processes, including hands-on security tool engineering, platform administration, and enterprise system maintenance.
- Strong experience operating enterprise platforms for monitoring, telemetry management, investigation, detection, response, and protection.
- Substantial hands-on Cribl experience covering routing, stream or pipeline management, parsing, transformation, enrichment, filtering, masking, troubleshooting, tuning, and administration.
- Strong hands-on Microsoft Sentinel experience covering data connectors, telemetry onboarding, SIEM configuration, KQL, analytics, dashboards or workbooks, automation, retention, access controls, and operations.
- Experience with multiple security technologies, including combinations of SIEM, telemetry pipelines, endpoint security, cloud security, identity tooling, and network security.
- Experience developing and optimizing cybersecurity strategies, frameworks, standards, operating models, risk assessments, governance controls, audit processes, and regulated security data practices.
- Experience collaborating with business stakeholders and managing third-party suppliers, vendors, and service partners in complex global environments.
- Recognized expertise in security tooling and the ability to solve key technical challenges, lead through change, and influence priorities.
- Experience with scripting and automation technologies such as PowerShell or Python.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in information security, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred experience includes Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, the broader Microsoft security ecosystem, SIEM migration, telemetry modernization, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, SOX, GxP, relevant security or platform certifications, and AI/ML security use cases.
