Base Salary

$135k - $181k/yr

Responsibilities

Design and implement reliable, high-throughput, low-latency, scalable, and well-documented code.
Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and partners to develop extensible, reusable, and performant solutions.
Seek opportunities to reuse or generalize existing services and implementations.
Experiment with relevant technologies and develop proofs of concept.
Conduct code reviews and analyze and resolve issues independently.
Troubleshoot and fix issues in lower and production environments.
Write unit and component tests to ensure high-quality delivery.
Monitor and proactively improve production application quality.
Participate in a scrum team, provide daily updates, and estimate development effort.
Assist with estimating effort for less senior developers.

5+ years of software engineering, analysis, and design experience across the full software development lifecycle.
Experience with Java, Spring Framework, SQL, AuroraDB, MongoDB, complex SQL queries, scalable distributed applications, and web services.
Exposure to GraphQL and graph databases.
5+ years of experience with internet technologies and microservices architectures.
5+ years of experience developing cloud-native applications, preferably in AWS.
Experience with JavaScript and frameworks such as Angular and ReactJS.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools.
Strong analytical skills and understanding of object-oriented programming and design principles.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field, or related equivalent experience.
Commerce-domain experience with products, pricing, or inventory is preferred.
