Base Salary
$135k - $181k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement reliable, high-throughput, low-latency, scalable, and well-documented code.
- Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and partners to develop extensible, reusable, and performant solutions.
- Seek opportunities to reuse or generalize existing services and implementations.
- Experiment with relevant technologies and develop proofs of concept.
- Conduct code reviews and analyze and resolve issues independently.
- Troubleshoot and fix issues in lower and production environments.
- Write unit and component tests to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Monitor and proactively improve production application quality.
- Participate in a scrum team, provide daily updates, and estimate development effort.
- Assist with estimating effort for less senior developers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering, analysis, and design experience across the full software development lifecycle.
- Experience with Java, Spring Framework, SQL, AuroraDB, MongoDB, complex SQL queries, scalable distributed applications, and web services.
- Exposure to GraphQL and graph databases.
- 5+ years of experience with internet technologies and microservices architectures.
- 5+ years of experience developing cloud-native applications, preferably in AWS.
- Experience with JavaScript and frameworks such as Angular and ReactJS.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of object-oriented programming and design principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field, or related equivalent experience.
- Commerce-domain experience with products, pricing, or inventory is preferred.
