Base Salary

$400k - $500k/yr

Responsibilities

Lead the evaluation and implementation of new technologies and designs.
Evaluate emerging technologies and seek innovative solutions.
Engage in architectural discussions and influence the roadmap.
Provide technical leadership to drive platform capabilities.
Demonstrate engineering excellence through hands-on examples.
Own building platform features in collaboration with product and engineering teams.
Review technical specifications and mentor team members.
Design and implement shared architectural layers and libraries.
Promote best practices across all functions.
Be involved in code/design reviews and code 70% of the time.

15+ years of experience in large-scale backend services, especially in payment systems.
Strong understanding of various payment flows and compliance standards.
Experience with the RFP process and vendor evaluation.
Proven track record of building highly available, scalable payment platforms.
Expertise in cloud solutions, particularly AWS or GCP.
Strong experience in designing complex transactional systems.
Passion for technology and its value to business.
Expertise in payments and billing systems.
Experience in building and adopting CI/CD pipelines.
