Responsibilities
- Design and develop resilient on-premises and multi-cloud database solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and Python.
- Build high-performance Python solutions using threading, multiprocessing, concurrency, asynchronous execution, error handling, and resource management.
- Develop secure database and ETL capabilities using Java collections, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
- Create full-stack applications with responsive user interfaces, RESTful APIs, backend services, and database and ETL integrations.
- Build self-service capabilities, dashboards, workflow automation, metadata-driven solutions, and microservices.
- Develop AI-driven solutions for discovering, classifying, and protecting sensitive information in unstructured data through natural language processing and data masking.
- Create automation and tooling for data engineering and application development teams.
- Contribute to modernization, platform standardization, observability, and cost-efficiency initiatives.
- Design and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes, including ELT, Spark processing, streaming, replication, partitioning, clustering, change data capture, and time travel.
- Develop database backup and restore, DDL generation, database access management, schema movement, and object-level data transfer solutions.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of relevant experience designing and implementing complex database, data, and full-stack application solutions.
- Strong database and data engineering experience across platforms such as PostgreSQL, DB2, SQL Server, Sybase, Snowflake, Azure SQL, MongoDB, Teradata, and Oracle.
- Hands-on experience with Java/Spring Boot, Python, REST APIs, and Angular for full-stack application development.
- Strong understanding of API design, microservices architecture, OAuth, service principals, token-based authentication, and secure application development.
- At least 2 years of experience writing complex Python scripts for multithreaded, multiprocess, concurrent, and asynchronous solutions.
- Experience with distributed computing tools such as Apache Spark for Python is preferred.
- Experience designing AI-powered solutions using large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic workflows is preferred.
- Extensive data pipeline and data architecture experience, preferably with Talend, Kafka, and/or Informatica.
- Expertise in performance optimization, scalability, troubleshooting, analytical problem-solving, and software design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
