Base Salary
$140k - $199k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement predictable, automated software deployment strategies across environments.
- Design, implement, and govern monitoring infrastructure for service reliability and performance.
- Define and refine release and reliability engineering processes with cross-functional teams.
- Partner with development, operations, quality assurance, and SRE teams to improve the software delivery lifecycle.
- Track KPIs and SLIs for release and reliability engineering and report progress and improvement opportunities.
- Participate in on-call incident response and apply automation, training, and industry practices to improve operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in release engineering, service reliability engineering, or a related field.
- Experience managing complex software deployments and maintaining high-availability systems.
- Strong background with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP and their deployment and monitoring services.
- Proficiency managing automated deployment and monitoring tools and observability practices including logging, metrics, and alerting.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience with messaging and event bus queues.
- Proficiency with PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship and meet the Los Angeles location requirement.
