Base Salary
$181k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Improve the performance and resilience of robust backend systems across product teams.
- Contribute to shared infrastructure solutions that benefit the organization.
- Mentor teams in implementing secure, performant, and resilient coding practices.
- Implement observability practices using OpenTelemetry, logging, and standard SLOs.
- Own incident response process design and follow-ups.
- Promote automated testing practices to ensure high-quality code.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership, product managers, and cross-functional teams on technical solutions.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience building scalable backend services at a B2B financial services, fintech, or SaaS organization.
- Proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
- Expertise in microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, including Postgres and MySQL.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Understanding of performant and reliable systems.
- A B.A. or B.S. in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Software Engineering is preferred, with equivalent experience and understanding valued.
- Preferred experience includes AI best practices, AWS cloud infrastructure, tabletop exercises, continuous integration and delivery, GitLab pipelines, Terraform, Debezium, Temporal, OpenTelemetry, brokerage platforms, and financial services.
