Responsibilities
- Drive significant technology initiatives end to end across multiple architectural layers.
- Architect and develop scalable applications and systems.
- Design and implement secure, maintainable software solutions that solve critical customer problems and integrate with other systems.
- Provide best practices and recommendations for application development, platform development, and developer tools.
- Experiment with emerging technologies and apply industry best practices.
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams and communicate with employees, customers, management, and executives.
- Identify opportunities to enhance applications with AI technology.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers in software engineering, AI integration, and technical development.
- Launch AI integrations in production and evaluate their effects on performance and user satisfaction.
- Lead the integration and monitoring of AI technology and make adjustments to optimize application performance.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Computer Science or a related area, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience delivering enterprise-class applications.
- Experience writing scalable application code with accessibility, internationalization, and instrumentation considerations.
- Experience with cross-browser, cross-platform, and web and mobile design constraints.
- Knowledge of algorithms and design patterns.
- Proficiency with Java or other mid-tier languages.
- Experience with test automation, including unit, integration, and functional testing.
- Experience with relational database design and implementation, SQL, NoSQL, analytics, and cloud computing.
- Experience developing and deploying applications and services into cloud environments.
- Practical experience with microservices, container technologies, and container management systems such as Kubernetes or Mesos.
- Experience building or integrating functional AI models using techniques such as LLM prompting and AutoML modeling.
- Skill in evaluating and monitoring AI technology performance in production and making necessary adjustments.
- Ability to collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and software engineers.

- Expected Mountain View base pay is $202,500–$274,000.
