Base Salary
$150k - $234k/yr
Responsibilities
- Assess business and customer requirements, classify requirements, identify solution risks, and recommend corrective actions.
- Create user stories and assist with high-level and detailed solution design for application components and modules.
- Develop and configure software components using appropriate programming languages, standards, and tools.
- Build automation scripts for repetitive tasks in CI/CD, testing, and other processes.
- Implement telemetry, security requirements, functional logic, and non-functional requirements including availability and scalability.
- Create, execute, and analyze test cases; perform regression testing and defect tracking.
- Troubleshoot application performance and availability bottlenecks and analyze logs, metrics, and maintenance data.
- Conduct application maintenance, re-engineering, change-request evaluation, and milestone tracking.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area and 1 year of software engineering or related experience; or a bachelor's degree or equivalent in one of those areas and 3 years of experience.
- Experience designing and implementing REST API web services using Java and coding with object-oriented programming languages including Java.
- Experience testing and troubleshooting web servers including Tomcat and writing JUnit test cases.
- Experience writing SQL database queries and designing and using NoSQL database queries.
- Experience writing Bash scripts to automate jobs and using system monitoring and metrics solutions.
- Experience analyzing application performance with open-source tools including JMeter.
- Experience with Agile methodology across analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and support project life cycles.
