Base Salary

$96k - $128k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop core C++ software for embedded onboard systems, simulation, and deployment.
  • Develop tools and frameworks for internal engineering teams and robotic platforms.
  • Drive technical direction for code structure, system design, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with robotics, cloud, and systems teams on multifunctional initiatives.
  • Mentor and review the work of junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Define engineering best practices and contribute to the technical roadmap.
  • Support perception, configuration, simulation, tooling, platform management, and software scalability for mobile robotic systems.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in C++ software engineering and robotics.
  • Deep expertise in modern C++, the STL, memory management, and performance tuning.
  • Strong background in software architecture and large codebases.
  • Experience with multithreaded, distributed, or real-time systems.
  • Hands-on experience with ROS/ROS2 or other robotics frameworks.
  • Experience in autonomous systems, robotics, or embedded environments.
  • Familiarity with DDS, ZeroMQ, gRPC, containerization, and orchestration tools.
  • Experience with system integration, hardware/software interfacing, or deployment pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of Linux, debugging, and profiling tools.
  • Ability to work across C++, Python or Bash scripting, and integration tasks.
  • Strong mathematical knowledge, including optimization and polynomials.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent experience, in computer science, software engineering, robotics, or a related technical field.
  • A Ph.D. or equivalent research or innovation experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated mentoring experience or technical ownership.
