Responsibilities
- Build and maintain software applications, tools, and functions supporting the derivatives trading business.
- Enhance post-trade processing, including trade payment calculation, payment processing, and trade regulatory reporting.
- Migrate legacy systems to new platforms using hands-on software development.
- Lead project and application design and oversee project development.
- Support trading systems by answering user inquiries and resolving batch-job issues.
- Collaborate with the development team, share designs and solutions, and follow SMBC CM development standards.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of experience in a large and complex application-development environment involving complicated data schemas.
- Professional experience with C/C++.
- Proven experience with object-oriented design and object-oriented programming.
- Strong SQL knowledge.
- Experience designing applications for complicated process flows.
- Experience analyzing and designing complicated data and object relationships.
- Experience with source-control tools and scheduling tools.
- At least 5 years of experience in the financial industry.
- Ability to work cooperatively or independently as a team player, learn quickly, and solve problems.
- Interest-rate swap industry experience is preferred.
