Responsibilities
- Embed with bank architecture, infrastructure, and product teams to discover needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Design future-state architectures and build trusted relationships with bank engineering and architecture leadership.
- Develop proofs of concept and end-to-end bank use cases such as digital twins, checking accounts, and stablecoin wallets.
- Integrate upstream and downstream systems using durable, production-grade integration patterns.
- Build and maintain high-performance data pipelines connecting existing bank systems.
- Run performance tests and validate scale, resilience, and failover behavior.
- Support sales through technical demos, architecture workshops, and platform education.
- Feed deployment patterns, friction points, and unmet needs into product requirements and platform improvements.
- Travel to client sites as needed, typically 25–50% depending on the engagement phase.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role such as Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Architect, Consultant, or Software Engineer.
- Track record of shipping robust, scalable infrastructure using Go or similar systems languages such as Rust or Java.
- Deep experience with Kafka, concurrency patterns, event-driven architectures, and multi-region databases.
- Strong background with AWS, GCP, or Azure; SRE principles; infrastructure as code; and Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Experience building data-intensive systems and distributed data pipelines.
- Ability to integrate AI into engineering workflows and stay current with LLM capabilities and agentic development patterns.
- Preferred knowledge of financial transaction flows, core banking systems, or banking technology.
- Ability to operate with high agency and ownership, work through ambiguity, and switch between coding, architecture design, and technical workshops.
