Responsibilities
- Participate in developing, testing, implementing, and supporting software applications, APIs, and technology solutions.
- Write and maintain high-quality code according to engineering standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot application defects, production issues, and performance concerns.
- Contribute to requirements analysis, solution design, code reviews, testing, and proof-of-concept initiatives.
- Create and maintain technical and process documentation and operational runbooks.
- Follow security, risk, compliance, and coding standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and continuous-improvement opportunities while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, technical research, and a collaborative engineering culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of software development concepts, data structures, and object-oriented programming principles.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and Agile delivery concepts.
- Familiarity with one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
- Understanding of databases, APIs, and application integration concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to learn new technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include co-op, internship, academic project, or previous software development experience.
- Preferred qualifications include familiarity with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Git; exposure to automated testing and application monitoring tools; and understanding of secure coding and technology risk management.

- Base salary range of CAD $59,500-$84,000, excluded from benefit details per schema.
