Responsibilities

  • Build software and solutions for Stripe’s financial infrastructure and products.
  • Learn unfamiliar systems through independent research, mentorship, and collaboration with subject matter experts.
  • Contribute to multi-person coding projects and larger initiatives alongside peers.
  • Lead small projects independently and navigate complex technical obstacles.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate development while reviewing, refining, and validating their outputs.
  • Explain technical work clearly to stakeholders, team members, and other Stripe employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a directly related field obtained by summer 2027, or equivalent work experience.
  • No more than 18 months of professional experience, excluding internship experience.
  • Programming experience through side projects or classwork and familiarity with programming fundamentals.
  • Experience from previous internships or collaborative multi-person coding projects in a university or professional setting.
  • Ability to learn unfamiliar systems and understand them through independent research and mentorship.
  • Clear written communication skills.
  • Ability to use AI tools with rigorous critical thinking and professional judgment.
  • Preferred: specialized knowledge in frontend, backend, infrastructure, or other technologies balanced with general technical skills.
  • Preferred: experience with code review practices, safely updating production systems, navigating large codebases, and leading small projects independently.
