Base Salary
$138k - $228k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and operate cloud-native Webex Signaling microservices.
- Develop Java backend services using Spring and Spring Boot.
- Build reliable, scalable, secure, manageable, and supportable distributed systems.
- Enhance telemetry, analytics, monitoring, and observability systems.
- Use AI-assisted software engineering tools across requirements, design, coding, testing, review, documentation, deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
- Validate AI-generated code, designs, tests, documentation, and recommendations for correctness, security, privacy, performance, maintainability, and licensing considerations.
- Serve as a quality gatekeeper for code, architecture, designs, and scalable implementation approaches.
- Align product teams, architectural decisions, and implementation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience with Java.
- At least 2 years of experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
- At least 2 years of backend software engineering experience.
- At least 2 years of software development lifecycle experience, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
- At least 1 year of experience using AI tools to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Preferred: at least 2 years building large-scale distributed applications with Cassandra, Kafka, and Redis.
- Preferred: at least 2 years with API design, JSON, containerized systems, and scalable microservices.
- Preferred: at least 2 years designing or operating telemetry, monitoring, and analytics systems.
- Preferred: at least 2 years with Kubernetes, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and production observability.
- Preferred: at least 2 years working with SQL and NoSQL databases at scale.
