Responsibilities
- Assist with eliciting and maintaining Software Requirements Specifications for safety-critical onboard computers.
- Support validation and verification activities in accordance with RTCA DO-178C up to DAL-A.
- Contribute to platform architecture integration, including partitioning, scheduling, resource allocation, and integration of RTOS BSPs, drivers, middleware, and third-party applications.
- Help implement and maintain standardized APIs for RTOS, BSP, low-level I/O, and middleware access.
- Participate in developing embeddable capabilities such as secure mathematical functions, file system services, and logging services.
- Support software certification documentation and compliance evidence preparation.
- Assist with benchmarking, rapid prototyping, reference-board evaluation, and target-platform bring-up.
Requirements
- Foundational knowledge of C for real-time embedded systems and familiarity with GNU toolchains, GCC, and Clang/LLVM.
- Knowledge of ARM, PowerPC, or x86 architectures, including MMUs, caches, and memory hierarchies.
- Basic knowledge of avionics data buses and digital networks such as ARINC-429, CAN, and Ethernet.
- Familiarity with UART, SPI, I2C, and basic DMA concepts.
- Academic, internship, or theoretical experience with safety-critical RTOS and the ARINC-653 specification.
- Basic awareness of RTCA DO-178C processes.
- Ability to use Python for basic automation and work with JSON or XML data formats.
- Good command of English at B2 level or higher.
- Experience with Embedded Linux, UML/SysML modeling tools, static analysis, structural code coverage, Jira, Confluence, or Agile environments is valuable.
